San Luis Obispo Culture and Traditions

Located on the historic Righetti Ranch property, the Righetti community will provide a complete living environment by blending residential, retail and abundant recreational opportunities – all within a few minutes drive or cycle to Downtown San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly.

Every aspect of the Righetti master-planned community pays homage to the area’s history. Established as Righetti Ranch in 1939 by Allen & Yolanda Righetti, the property was originally a dairy farm.

San Luis Obispo was the leading dairy region in California between the 1870’s and the 1950’s and the industry contributed greatly to San Luis Obispo County’s economic success. The Righetti family was one of many Swiss-Italian families that migrated to the area and purchased small parcels of land to establish dairy farms. In the 1960’s, due to changing dairy regulations, the dairy herd was sold and replaced with beef cattle. Today Righetti family members still own, and live on, a portion of the original farm.

Masterplanned, Masterpiece

Within Righetti hiking, biking and jogging trails follow the natural contour of the hillside setting. A planned City Park will provide areas for active recreation and quiet contemplation. Small pocket parks and community gardens will offer areas to relax and commune with nature. All amenities are set against the beautiful rolling terrain with vistas of Islay Hill, Righetti Hill and the Santa Lucia Foothills. Ladera Community

Ladera at Righetti is a neighborhood of 64 hillside homes at the heart of the Righetti master-plan. Ranging in size from approximately 2,500 to 2,900 square feet, Ladera offers 3 and 4 bedroom home designs, many with luxurious master suites on the same level as the main living areas.

Timeless home designs and outdoor living areas were created to take advantage of the hillside topography. Our homes were designed with a variety of lifestyles in mind and our plans offer secondary living spaces that can be modified to create your perfect environment.

Enclave residences will allow owners the opportunity to personalize their home. With plans inspired by the surrounding terrain, you can choose from upslope, single or split-level layouts. Each plan is designed with ample space for family living and entertaining and separate garage buildings and can be customize to include living space above. Enclave homes will also feature optional ADU’s with a private entrance. Choose a plan that compliments your style of living!
